Does Maryland Discipline Its Bad Doctors?

Public Citizen, the consumer advocacy group, found that Maryland has joined states like California and Florida in that their disciplinary boards are not taking meaningful and consistent action against doctors who are providing inadequate care. This impacts not only Maryland patients but good Maryland doctor who get lumped it with what is a small minority of incompetent doctors. Joining Maryland, California, and Florida on the states Public Citizen has red flagged:  Minnesota, South Carolina and Wisconsin.

I believe medical malpractice lawyers in Maryland for both plaintiffs and doctors and most Maryland doctors themselves believe there should be a better system to weed out the bad doctors in Maryland.
